Tate and Ian’s big day was truly a tribute to romance, joy and love – from the beaming smiles of the dapper groom and dazzling bride to the breathtaking reception design and sweeping first dance, this celebration was a stunning affair straight out of a fairy tale! The happy couple tied the knot surrounded by friends and family at the MIT Chapel and continued their festivities at the Harvard Club of Back Bay.

Tate prepared for her big day in the comfort of her family home with the help of a talented team of beauty professionals from Lindsay Griffin & Co and Dani Wagener Beauty. After donning her delicately embroidered, multi-tiered Lazaro gown, Tate was joined by her groom for a highly anticipated first look followed by an epic wedding party photo shoot at the nearby Harvard Club. Talk about a showstopper – from the classic black tuxedos and elegant evergreen gowns to the delicate bouquets and the bride’s regal fur stole, this stylish wedding party was the perfect complement to the historic space!

The day’s main festivities kicked off with a touching ceremony at the MIT Chapel officiated by the couple’s close friend Doris – the warmth and joy radiating from the happy couple and their guests was a welcome change from the chilly February air. Tate, escorted by her father to Gustav Holst’s Jupiter, was radiant as she processed down the greenery-adorned aisle to her smiling groom. To set the tone for the celebration still to come, the newlyweds recessed to the Dropkick Murphys’ timeless classic, Shippin’ Up to Boston!

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed delicious treats in the stately foyer of the Harvard Club. To help Tate and Ian fill in their new family tree, guests were invited to add their signatures to the couple’s evergreen-inspired guestbook.
The breathtaking reception space was truly a sight to behold – from the blown glass candelabras with flickering faux tapers to the dramatic custom lighting and lush floral accents, every element of the décor added a sense of magic to the evening. Thanks to the creative collaboration of the couple, the bride’s mother and the talented team at Marc Hall Design, the guests enjoyed a delicious feast in a setting fit for royalty!

Following dinner and heartfelt toasts, Tate and Ian took to the dancefloor in a graceful and sweeping first dance. In a Without A Hitch first, the groom and his mother performed an incredible mother/son dance to MC Hammer’s Can’t Touch This that had everyone on their feet and ready to party to the musical stylings of Search Party! To cap off the evening guests were treated to a well-deserved ice cream sandwich buffet and a thoughtful favor of a handmade mulling spice kit in a custom mug!

Tate and Ian’s celebration was extraordinary – from the love the permeated every grand entrance and small detail to the quiet, knowing moments of joy we witnessed throughout the day, it’s clear that this celebration is one for the books! We are honored to have been a part of Tate and Ian’s wedding and hope that the joy that surrounded them on that momentous day continues for many years to come!
