Founded by an experienced event-planner with a passion for weddings.
Sarah had been planning fundraising and community events for more than ten years, and simultaneously has always been a bit wedding obsessed. She reached a point where friends were getting married, and she saw a niche market, a need that wasn’t being filled: a reasonably-priced, highly-competent wedding coordinator solely focused on day-of services. She resisted the idea for a while (she already had a full-time job! And she was in school! And there were lots of wedding planning companies in Boston!), until she came up with the company name. The next day, Sarah had built the website and social media profiles, and Without A Hitch was born and the team continues to grow.

The difference: we make it personal.
Without A Hitch was founded on the idea that couples should be able to enjoy their wedding day without worrying about all of the details. While there are many organizations doing wedding and event planning, Without A Hitch focuses on what we do best: day-of coordination.
Without A Hitch is a small organization with a personal touch. Event hosts love the intimate size of our staff; you will recognize us at your event, unlike a large vendor who brings along dozens of employees you've never met. Because of this, we get to know you on a personal level through check-up emails and meetings, and you will feel comfortable reaching out to us on a regular basis and during your event for any issue or question. We also have professional connections with many Boston-area vendors, so chances are we will know your caterer or DJ, ensuring a smooth event. And most importantly, we understand you have worked hard to plan your event, so we will work just as hard to make sure your vision and plans are carried out on the day of your event.
The Without A Hitch team is led by Founder Sarah Narcus and supported by several associates with a passion for events. Learn more about our team here!

We seek diverse ideas.
At the forefront of our work is the perspective that each couple is unique in their approach to wedding planning. That means that Without A Hitch has had the honor of coordinating events as small as 25 people and as large as 350, with traditions from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds. We've done brunch and lunch and dinner at more than 150 venues around New England. There is no cookie cutter approach here and all are welcome.

Bat Mitzvah in a couple months? Wedding in a year? Never too early to plan!
As a day-of coordinator, we're often hired 3-4 months out from the big day when a couple or celebrant realizes they just can’t (or don’t want to) do it all themselves. Sarah recently shared this story: "I love heading to an initial client meeting or venue walkthrough when I do a lot of listening and responding to the client’s needs. I recently was hired by a couple just 6 weeks out from their wedding day. They were fairly quiet on the walkthrough as we talked about the different options, and I shared my experiences and recommendations. As we were departing, not to see each other in person again until the wedding day, the bride turned and threw her arms around me, exclaiming 'I am just so glad you’re here!!'"
Weekends during our busy months (May-October) fill up fast - we generally book months in advance. However, we are always looking to help out an event host in need! If you’re thinking about hiring a day-of coordinator for an event you’re planning, don’t hesitate to contact us.
