Sophie and Alex’s big day at Warehouse XI in bustling Union Square was an exuberant celebration of love, laughter and epic dance parties. Every element of the day from the moving ceremony to the thoughtfully curated décor to the surprise dance number was a testament to this joyful and fun-loving couple!

Sophie and her bridal party kicked off the day’s festivities at the AC Marriott with the help of makeup artist Kerri Herlihy and hair stylists from Cut-Splice. Sophie’s regal updo, reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn, was the perfect complement to her elegant Paloma Blanca gown and luxurious fur stole. A bouquet of textured greenery and winter white amaryllis further enhanced the bride’s dramatic look. The groom, donning a dapper green suit, was all smiles as he awaited the arrival of his bride-to-be.

The ceremony, officiated by a close family friend, was held beneath a draped archway accented by lush greens and sweeping candles courtesy of The Frugal Flower. Flanked by their stylish wedding party, Sophie and Alex pledged to love one another in a heartfelt ceremony full of laughter and joy. After a triumphant recessional (just look at those smiles!), the bride and groom were joined by their wedding party for a one-of-a-kind trolley photo shoot.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy delicious treats from Stoked Pizza. Custom “S&A” marquee letters and refreshing margaritas made sure the bar was a cocktail hour focal point!

The reception space, the creative vision of the bride’s design-savvy mother, was breathtaking. Ryan Design’s bistro lighting and romantic drapery coupled with natural green garlands and candle-laden tablescapes served as a visual counterpoint to the industrial space, lending it a warm and welcoming vibe. The gold accents, hand lettered signs and feature lighting woven throughout the space further enhanced the elegance of the surroundings.
Perhaps the most highly anticipated portion of the evening (after the ceremony, of course!) was dinner – a delicious spread of wood-fired pizza from the Stoked food truck. Following the toasts, the bride and her immediate family surprised their guests with a choreographed dance to Earth, Wind and Fire’s September, complete with lighting black out and confetti explosion! Thanks to DJ Sheldon of CZone Entertainment, the dance floor was packed for the rest of the night, with the exception of a well-deserved break to enjoy a delectable donut from Union Square Donuts

Sophie and Alex’s big day was full of many wonderful moments - from the first time Alex saw his bride walk down the aisle to the secret fork-free cake binge Sophie enjoyed with her close friends and family, it was truly a day to remember! We are honored to have been a part of their celebration and hope that they continue to fill each other’s lives with joy and secret confetti explosions for many years to come!
