As wedding season quickly approaches, we often get the question- “what gift do I give my guests/groom to be/mother in law to be?!” Giving guests favors and gifts is a fun tradition many couples wish to continue, in a budget friendly manner. Although some couples decide against giving out favors as a way to cut costs, many decide to keep it to please their traditional families. Read below for advice and ideas!Groom: A present for the groom is not necessary (you’re giving him the gift of love!), but for brides and grooms looking to give their groom a token to remember the day, we have several recommendations. Some of the most popular gifts are engraved watches, personalized handkerchiefs, or cufflinks, that he can wear on the big day. One of our favorite tear-jerking gifts is a handwritten letter, given to the groom right before the ceremony begins. If you’re looking to shower your bride with gifts on your wedding day, we suggest giving jewelry. Traditional gifts included an engraved piece of jewelry, like a heart-shaped locket, a pearl necklace or earrings, or a bottle of perfume. For the budget-conscience groom, we suggest objects of sentiment- a love letter, framed photograph, or poem. Mother/Father of the Bride/Groom: A personalized, embroidered handkerchief to the mother and father of the bride and groom are great gifts to thank your parents on your wedding day. Not only are personalized handkerchiefs sentimental, but they will also be put to great use on your wedding day (to soak up all the tears!) We recommend looking to buy them through sites like Etsy, unless you are super crafty! Bridal Party: We love bridesmaid’s gifts that will be used while getting ready for the big day. One of our favorite gifts is a personalized silk robe for each bridesmaid. Not only will the ladies love these, but they will also make for a fun and matching “getting ready” photo-shoot. Other popular gifts included a jewelry set to wear the day-of, or an embroidered tote and makeup bag. Cigars and cufflinks are two of the most popular gifts for groomsmen. We also see grooms giving engraved flasks, expensive bottles of liquor like whiskey or bourbon, or money clips to their groomsmen. Guest favors have evolved significantly from the days of a personalized matchbook. For an outdoor wedding, guests will love receiving personalized sunglasses to shade their eyes, or the ceremony program printed on a paper fan, and for a winter wedding, personalized lip balm, or hot cocoa kits will be a hit. Some of our favorite DIY favors are Instagram coasters, luggage tags (for a destination wedding), and a “classy hangover kit” with a bottle of Gatorade, ibuprofen, and an eye mask.

With wedding season right around the corner, we are anxiously waiting on tons of fabulous celebrity weddings. In this post, we’ll take you through our top 3 most awaited celebrity weddings and our predictions for their nuptials. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West We expect this wedding to be one of the most extravagant celebrity weddings in recent history. With rumors swirling around about pricey guest gifts (apparently Kimye is spending $125,000 on each guest!), we cannot wait to see what the couple has in store for their romantic Paris wedding. For their spring wedding, we picture Kim in a sophisticated, sleek dress (or dresses). We’ve heard the couple’s friend and Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, is set to design Kim’s dresses, and with a name like that, they are bound to be glamorous. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Fans of That 70’s Show were thrilled to hear of Ashton and Mila’s engagement AND pregnancy! We expect their wedding to be laid back and bohemian- but with a twist! Ashton is known for his involvement with tech companies and social media- so we expect at least a tweet or two from the Twitter king on his nuptials. We picture Mila wearing a gown similar to her 2011 Elie Saab Oscar’s dress- something romantic, and lacey. We hope to see Mila show off her baby bump on her big day! Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux Despite rumors of a rocky relationship, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are still set to get married- and hopefully sometime this year. We are so excited to finally see Jennifer Aniston find “the one!” We expect her wedding to be intimate and romantic, with just a few family members and friends attending. We don’t expect too many details about this wedding, before or even after it happen (it’s even been rumored the couple wants to elope), so don’t wait around to hear more about this one! We believe Jen will wear a slim and sleek white dress without any bells or whistles- possibly designed by Vera Wang. Whether it’s a 16th birthday or a silent auction, there is so much that goes into planning one event. Luckily, technology is here to help. Stay organized and simplify planning your event by downloading these five apps on your smartphone or tablet! Dropbox Dropbox is one of our favorite apps to use for coordinating our events. With this free app you’re able to upload guest lists, menus, photos, and notes to your account, and it’s automatically synced to all your devices- from your computer to your phone. Our favorite part of Dropbox is the ability to give anyone access to your folders and documents, so each vendor, host and even guest (if you want) can have access to all the important documents! The Knot This free app is perfect for any wedding planning couple. Besides providing more than 50,000 pictures and ideas for “inspiration,” The Knot app allows you to search for vendors, plan and track a budget and even update your guest list. Just like Dropbox, this app synchs to your online account, so you can access all of your tools from on the go or from your computer. Voxer Miss the days of walkie-talkies? Voxer is essentially a walkie-talkie app for your smartphone. You have the ability to leave voicemails on your contact's phone without calling them, which is perfect for any event in a large venue-whether you’re hosting the event, or a busy bride needing to leave a quick message for your caterer. ScannerPro ScannerPro gives you the ability to take a picture of any receipt or paper, convert it to a PDF, and email them instantly (or save them to your Dropbox!) No need to worry about losing the photographer contract, or the bill for the caterer, when you can automatically save it to your phone and email with this cheap app. Pinterest We cannot stop raving about Pinterest.com, and the same thing goes for the app. Pinterest’s app lets you take pictures and upload to any of your pin boards whenever you’re inspired- even if you just adore the colors of the flowers on your bosses desk, snap a pic and upload it instantaneously!
