Krysia & Kevin – A Moody & Magical Autumn Wedding

9/4/2019

Rich with elegant colors, sweet details, and an overall warm yet moody aesthetic, Krysia and Kevin’s wedding day was a true testament to the magical beauty found in an autumn celebration. We absolutely loved working with this couple because they prioritized delicious food, a good time, and authenticity. All of their hard work and planning came together on a crisp and cool day, the photos by Lindsey Mae proving it was nothing short of stunning from beginning to end.

While the groomsmen got ready at the couple’s home, the bridesmaids were busy being pampered and having their hair done at Salon Luna. Later, they put their finishing touches on their ensembles at the venue, the charming Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, Mass.

Dressed in a saturated emerald green gowns, the bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous accompanying Krysia around the streets of Cambridge for photos. Complimenting each bridesmaid were dark yet ethereal bouquets created by the talented artists at Foret Design Studio.  The groomsmen had their moments in front of the camera as well. In classic groomsmen style, more than one photo captured their goofy and fun energy on the big day.

The sun quite literally broke through the clouds as the processional music began and truly illuminated Krysia and her father as they walked down the aisle. Wiping away a tear, Kevin greeted a radiant Krysia and the ceremony began, officiated by a close friend of the couple.

Sealed with a kiss, the two were pronounced married and the rest of the evening was all smiles!

Stealing away at the golden hour, Lindsey Mae photographed Krysia and Kevin in the ultimate autumn light. With a picture perfect setting of rich auburn brick sidewalks, freshly fallen foliage, and luscious flower beds around the perimeter of the venue, the formal portraits of the newlyweds illustrate their love and affection towards one another. A few dramatic shots also highlight Krysia’s fashion forward cape that accompanied her gown by designer Jenny Yoo.

Meanwhile, guests enjoyed a bustling cocktail hour in the venue’s art gallery. With delectable passed appetizers and hors d’oeuvres crafted and creatively plated by Forklift Catering, guests were happy and well-fed before the festivities even began.

Introduced into the reception space by the emcee of the evening, Rocca DeRosa of the band Do I Do, Krysia and Kevin made quite the entrance as they descended the master staircase. They moved swiftly onto the dance floor and shared their first dance to the song “Funny Little Frog” by Belle and Sebastian.

As Forklift Catering served a variety of entrees, including vegan friendly dishes, the toasts began. The father of the bride, maid of honor, and best man all gave compelling and emotional toasts. All of them were sure to take a moment to reflect on their relationship with the couple and give them their warmest wishes as they embark on their next journey together.

After dinner and the toasts, the band lit up the dance floor and the dance party began with full force! Stealing only a moment’s pause to cut the cake – four classily frosted layers by The Icing on the Cake – Krysia and Kevin were permanent fixtures in front of the band, leading by example and showing off their best dance moves.

As the night wound down, Krysia and Kevin were whisked away by a classic limousine driven by Black Tie. Meanwhile, guests found individual boxes of Union Square Donuts waiting for them at the door. An extra sweet treat to match the sweet romanticism of the night!

Congratulations again to you both, Krysia and Kevin! We wish you all the best as you embark on this next adventure in your life together.
