Meghan and Sean's camp wedding in October was one to write home about (camp pun!). The big day was set at Camp Joslin in Charlton, MA - gorgeous cabins surrounded by beautiful woodlands and a 20 acre pond. Both the ceremony and reception were personal, with rustic details and full of love - even the rain couldn't put a damper on the celebration of Meghan and Sean's big day! We are proud to present this blog of their day with these stunning photos courtesy of BridgetQ Photography. The day started off with Meghan getting hair and makeup done by Beauty in Motion in the rustic cabin - her strapless dress was to die for, with a full skirt and purple embellished belt that matched her bridesmaids' dresses, flowers and bouquets from Flowers by Kim Cerny, and beautiful accents. Meghan and Sean met by the lake for an emotional first look followed by perfect rainy day bridal party shots. We love how Meghan and Sean incorporated umbrellas into the shots rather than running from the rain! How romantic are these pictures?! The ceremony was held outside with an umbrella-clad crowd of family and friends. After the ceremony guests moved inside to dry off with a rustic cabin reception with a fabulous dinner from Deja Blu Catering. The party never ended as the happy bride, groom, and guests danced the night away to music from Mike Zucco and the Mutha Funk, and even hosted a late night after party at a separate location with transportation by First Student Charter Bus. Congratulations Meghan and Sean! Here's to happy and healthy lives together.

The holidays are a time to gather with the friends and family you love. If you're throwing a holiday party this season, you'll want to create a spectacular gathering to remember for years to come. Here's some of our favorite tips for a memorable holiday season. Use Lighting to Set the SceneOne of our favorite tips for setting a holiday mood is to use lighting to your advantage. For a cozy intimate setting, dim the lights and use plenty of candles to set the scene like one of our past brides Jenny did at her wedding (see the gorgeous tables above!). For an ugly sweater or kids party, hang colorful string lights, like these from lights.com, along the ceiling to create a playful environment. Create a signature drink- but also ask guest to BYOBGuests at your party will love if you provide a signature drink, but providing more alcohol than that can get pricey. If you're worried about the skyrocketing cost of throwing a party, tell your guests to bring their favorite bottle of wine on the invitation to help pay for the costs of drinks. In terms of creating your signature drink, there are so many unique drinks to make with winter ingredients like peppermint or pomegranate martinis, cranberry margaritas, or spiked hot chocolate. Play an appropriate playlist to reflect the moodThe music playing at your party says everything about the tone you want to set. For an intimate gathering, create a playlist with holiday crooners like Michael Buble or Kenny Loggins. To get guests dancing, play a Holiday Classics playlist with songs like Feliz Navidad and All I want for Christmas is You from music streaming services like Spotify or Pandora.
