This has been a year for the books.  We are so grateful for the support of our clients, vendor network, and family and friends who have made the year not only possible, but a lot of fun.

By the numbers for Without A Hitch, 2015 brought....
  • More than 500 hours worked on prep, planning, and coordinating for our events
  • 30 amazing, unique weddings
  • 20 venues that were brand new to us
  • 3 states worked in (MA, VT, and ME)
  • 3 new Without A Hitch team members
  • 1 incredibly successful fundraiser for a great cause
  • 1 engagement of our founder and chief event planner, Sarah!

But the numbers don't tell the full story.  Take a look at some of our favorite highlights from 2015 in photos:

Unique and Interesting Venues

Ceremonies With A Lot of Heart

Stunning Bridal and Family Portraits

Decorations to Reflect Individual Style

Getting Down on the Dance Floor

Congratulations to our gorgeous couples and thank you to the many who helped make this year so great!  Here's to 2016!

Together Forever: Patrice and Chris

We were honored to celebrate with Patrice and Chris this summer as they sealed their vows at Commander's Mansion in Watertown. Read on to hear all about the beautiful details and to see stunning photos from Pizzuti Photography.

The girls started off the day getting ready at the Sheraton Commander in Cambridge, with help from Latoya Dawson for hair and Makeovers by Ligia for makeup. Chris and the groomsmen arrived first at the venue aboard transport from Buston Attitude, which allowed time to take some fabulous boys-only photos.

Patrice and her bridal party arrived next and took some time for finishing touches in the beautiful room that Commander's provides for getting ready.  While the girls got ready, the boys played multiple rounds of the rowdy game "Heads Up!" in their room.  Finally, Patrice and Chris were ready to see each other in an emotional, private first look.

There was plenty of time for portraits and group photos before the ceremony. When it came time for Patrice to walk down the aisle with her parents, there was not a dry eye in the garden!  The ceremony, officiated by family member and reverend Nelson Bernard Dorsey, Jr. was filled with personal touches, including a reading from Chris's sister and a lighting of the unity candle involving the couple's moms.

After their vows were sealed with a kiss, the couple was ready to party with their guests!  Everyone headed into Commander's Mansion for cocktail hour and it was right in time.  As soon as all of the guests were inside, the summer evening thunderstorm began.  Luckily, the guests were cozy and dry inside with music from Sounds of Success and food and drink from Capers Catering.  The storm passed, and guests headed out to the tent, where they got to see all of the touching details that Patrice and Chris had thought about, including a candy buffet, stunning centerpieces from Karla Cassidy Designs, a sprig of rosemary on each place setting, and an awesome photobooth with fun props from XO Photobooth. After dinner and toasts, guests danced the night away with the bride and groom taking center stage on the dance floor!

Light and Grace for Mara and Tim

Mara and Tim had a beautiful September wedding, with a ceremony at Portland Head Light in Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and their reception at Grace Restaurant in Portland, Maine.  It was an honor to be a part of their love story and we are thrilled to share the details of their day, accompanied by these amazing photos from the team at Captured in Moments.

Mara started her day with some pampering, including hair from Kerry Cranton and makeup from Kim Schultz.  Mara took her time getting ready and the results were fabulous!  Then she made her way over to nearby Portland Head Light for her first look with Tim.

Tim could not have been happier to see his bride at the first look! Afterward, the couple joined with family and close friends for portraits and took some amazing shots. Then they were ready to sign the Ketubah and start the ceremony.  Guests gathered in a park overlooking the lighthouse and close friends and family held up the traditional Jewish Chuppah.

After the glass was smashed to signal the end of the ceremony, guests cheered and all joined in for a group photo including the bride and groom.  Guests then boarded buses to Grace Restaurant to get the party started.  Grace was decorated with personal touches, including floral centerpieces made by the couple and a framed photo of their wedding date that guests could sign as a guestbook.  Mara and Tim also put together a boat filled with local salt water taffy for guests to enjoy. Cocktail hour included a touching toast from the bride's dad, and then guests filed upstairs for some dancing.  The bride and her dad surprised everyone with a choreographed dance to "Putting' on the Ritz" before the groom had an emotional dance with his mom.  Then the floor opened up and everyone joined in for a rousing hora!  Guests ate and danced the night away with Mara and Tim and tunes from DJ Numuzik.

We could not possibly have had more fun with Camille and Dan at their amazing Labor Day weekend wedding in Worcester.  From their DIY photobooth and the rockin' dance floor to the heartfelt ceremony and the delicious food, guests were in for a real treat at this special event.  The reception venue really took the cake, as guests had the opportunity to celebrate the newlyweds at Union Station, an active train station with stunning ceilings.  We're thrilled to share the story of their day, with photos courtesy of JM Photography!

Camille and her bridal party had their hair and makeup done at nearby Salon Nina Raffaella and then took their time getting dressed at the bride's parents' house, which is right around the corner from the church. Transport from Le Limo meant that the girls made it to the church, Christ the King, right on time.

The ceremony started with a grand entrance for Camille and her dad as the double doors opened wide.  All of the guests saw Camille for the first time at the same time as her future husband, Dan.  The officiant led the ceremony, and Camille and Dan sealed their vows with a kiss. After the guests left to head to the reception venue, the couple stayed behind for some more photos at the church. Then they boarded the bus headed off to the party.

Guests arrived at Union Station and enjoyed cocktail hour right on the railroad tracks, while Camille, Dan, and their families took photos around the property. At the end of cocktail hour, guests were wowed as they entered the magnificent event space and took in all of the details, including floral centerpieces from Jeff French Designs.

After Camille and Dan were introduced into the party, they enjoyed a first dance before inviting everyone up onto the dance floor for some tunes from DJ Zeke from Murray Hill Talent.  Guests enjoyed an excellent meal from Maxwell Silverman's and had the opportunity to hear toasts from the couple's friends and family. Camille and Dan cut the cake and, after the father/daughter and then mother/son dances, they started their dance party which lasted well into the night.
