One of the most special moments of this wedding for us was the arrival of the bride and groom at the museum. They were ready to party, entertain their guests, and see the fruits of their labor. They walked into the completed Jackson Room, all set up for their reception, and were at a loss for words. It had come together exactly as they had hoped, and more!
Guests filtered into the Jackson Room and were just as wowed as the couple at the design. They were seated and ready for dinner, but before we began the bride and groom make a special whisky toast – that was a first for us and so special to the two of them! And then… a surprise for all of us: one of the guests works for the Mayor of Boston and presented a special proclamation to the couple in honor of their wedding day.
We heard from a few special and heartwarming toasts before the dance floor opened; Jane and David’s siblings/friends Katie, David, Mary, and Eric all had words of wisdom for the newly married couple. Then, dancing began in earnest, starting with a special first dance between Jane and David with all of the guests to join them on the dance floor for the rest of the night. Towards the end of the evening, there was everyone’s favorite late night food, including “to go” containers for anyone who wanted a snack but didn’t want to leave the dance floor. It was the perfect way to end the evening, as the bride and groom made their way onto the last bus of the night with the rest of their guests.
