When you meet Joana and Welitom, there is a feeling between them that cannot be put into words. It's clear that they are made for each other and their wedding absolutely reflected that. Many friends, family, and vendors worked together to make their day a success. Photos were captured by the talented Oliveira Studios. Joana, Welitom, and their bridal parties got ready at the Hilton Airport Hotel, while the bride's sister, Debora, and friend, Yolanda, put the finishing touches on the decorations at the venue space. The Bellevue Golf Club venue was completely transformed by the beautiful decorations from Debora and Yolanda, as well as the pieces rented from Rust and Luxe. When hair and makeup from expert Thammy Ellen was completed, the girls hopped in a limo and headed to Melrose. After a few final touch-ups, the ceremony began at the 18th hole overlooking the beautiful course. The timing was perfect; a stunning fall sunset was the backdrop for Joana and Welitom to say "I Do." Post-ceremony, guests headed inside for cocktail hour while the bridal party took some final photos outdoors before it got dark. Indoors, guests loved the DIY photobooth (including a rustic wooden door backdrop) as well as all of the Brazilian touches and treats available. The couple even had a signature drink: Sangria! As guests entered the main hall, they saw the stunning setup and the huge sweets table, a Brazilian tradition. The centerpiece was a cake from Bread & Company. The bridal party were introduced into the room by DJ Del, who got all of the guests on their feet for Jo and Wel's first dance. The team at Bellevue served a delicious meal, which was followed by toasts from the maids of honor, best men, and bride's mother, in both Portuguese and English. Then came a big surprise for Welitom: Joana had captured his mother and other family members on video since they couldn't be there on person. We queued up the video and Wel immediately was struck by emotion. Jo and Wel cut their cake, took photos with their guests, and filled the dance floor. They completed a special garter and bouquet toss before the night was over. Even when the party ended and guests departed, they were off to the afterparty to celebrate the couple's love late into the night. Congratulations Joana and Welitom... you are beautiful people who had a beautiful wedding!
