Are you throwing your wedding in 2014? It's a new year, which means brand new wedding trends- and believe us when we say this year's wedding trends are different than 2013 trends. What's hot this year? A return to a classic wedding- romantic and whimsical. Keep up with the latest trends with this post, and contact us to help you coordinate your big day this year! Kate Middleton brought the classic long-sleeved wedding look up to date with her 2011 dress. This year, long-sleeved lace dresses are seen all over the bridal runway. The romantic look is sure to flatter brides of all shapes and sizes. Girly brides everywhere rejoice with this trend...pink is finally back in style for weddings! Bridesmaid dresses and even bridal dresses (check out Kaley Cuoco's pink dress!) are extremely popular in a soft pink this year. But beware- if not a soft shade of pink (think blush, and champagne pink, not Pepto Bismal pink), dresses will look tacky and outdated. Gone are the days of chevron-pattern filled weddings. This year, more delicate patterns like toile, floral, gingham and stripes are in style for decor, and even invitations. A fun twist on this trend is to use sequins instead of patterns. This Pin showcases sequin tablecloths. This year brides are choosing to throw cell phone-free weddings. This trend will be popular amongst couples who don't like the idea of their guests on their phones throughout the wedding. From cell phone drop boxes, to a note in the invitations, guests will be sure to know if the wedding they're attending is cell phone free.
