Making the Most of Your Event

Holding an event can be stressful! There are tons of details that go into planning and executing an event- from a wedding to a Quinceañera. Make the most of your big day by not getting overwhelmed by the details, with tips from our latest blog!

1. Create and rely on a timeline

Our first step in coordinating any event is creating a timeline. We outline all big and small details, from the days leading up to the event, to the night before, the morning of and the days afterwards. Make sure to mark every interaction that needs to happen between vendors, caterers, family, and friends. The timeline will ensure your days goes by flawlessly, so don’t leave any detail off!

2. Enlist a family member or friend to be your point person

Choosing someone close to you to be your point person will take a lot of the pressure off of you. Make sure this person carries around an event emergency kit, has the phone numbers and names of all your vendors, and event staff, and most importantly carries around a copy of the event timeline to guarentee the event is executed without a hitch.

3. Get plenty of sleep the night before

Although this may seem like the most difficult step in making the most on your big day, it’s one of the most important! Nothing’s worse than being exhausted on the day of a big event- your mind will be hazy and you’ll be grouchy! To ensure a good night's sleep, create a calming environment for yourself- drink herbal tea, light a lavender candle, and eliminate distractions- turn off your phone, and computer and focus on yourself.

4. Hire a day-of coordinator

One of our favorite steps in making the most on your big day is… hiring a day-of- celebration coordinator! We help you create a succesful event, and work with you from the months and days leading up to, to even the days after the event. At Without A Hitch, we ensure the execution of every detail on your timeline, and can be that point person to run to if anything goes awry. We will work with your vendors to make sure everyone’s on the same page, and will fight for you to execute your vision. Contact us today to see what package is right for you!
